The Instagram Comment Picker (the "Tool") is offered free of charge by Giveaway Ninja ("we", "us"), the operator of giveaway.ninja. By ticking the acceptance box, or by using the Tool, you agree to these Terms of Use, to our Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Tool on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use the Tool. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, whichever is higher.
The Tool is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc. or any of their affiliates. Instagram and Meta are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. and are used here only to describe what the Tool works with. We have no special access to Instagram. The Tool reads information that is publicly visible on Instagram through third-party data providers, and Instagram or Meta can change, limit or block that access at any time without notice. If that happens, the Tool may return fewer comments, no comments, or stop working.
You are the promoter of your giveaway. We are not a party to it, we do not administer it and we do not deliver prizes. You alone are responsible for:
Nothing in the Tool is legal advice. If you run giveaways with high value prizes, in regulated industries, or across several countries, ask a qualified lawyer.
Do not use the Tool to harass, stalk, discriminate against or harm anyone; through automated means, bulk requests or in ways that bypass the reCAPTCHA or our limits; to resell it or offer it as your own; or in any way that breaks the law or the rights of others. We may limit, suspend or block use of the Tool at any time, for any reason, without notice.
To run the Tool we process:
We use third-party providers to read public Instagram data (currently Apify) and Google reCAPTCHA to stop bots. Our servers are hosted on Amazon Web Services. We keep each request so that you can return to the same post for a short time, so that we can spot abuse, measure costs and improve the Tool, within the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell this data. People who appear in the comments can ask us to remove their data from our records at hello@giveaway.ninja. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights and how to exercise them.
The Tool is free. We may change, limit or withdraw it, or start charging for it, at any time.
The Tool and its results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, availability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that every comment will be read, that the Tool will be uninterrupted or error free, or that its results will be accepted by any authority, platform or person.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we, our officers, employees, suppliers and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or reputation, arising from or related to the Tool, its results or your giveaway, including disputes with entrants, missing or inaccurate comments, draws that have to be repeated, or actions taken by Instagram or Meta against your account. Our total liability for all claims related to the Tool is limited to one hundred euros (EUR 100).
Some laws do not allow some of these limits. In that case they apply to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms removes rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
You will defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, fines and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your giveaway, your breach of these terms or of the law, or your use of the information the Tool shows you.
We may update these terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top. Using the Tool after a change means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy and the courts of Italy have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules and to the competent courts of your country of residence where the law gives you that right. The Giveaway Ninja Terms of Service apply to anything not covered here. Where the two conflict, these Terms of Use prevail for the Tool.

We pull the full list of comments, without asking for your Instagram login, and show you exactly who qualifies under the rules you announced: how many friends had to be tagged, whether a hashtag was required, whether people could enter more than once. No. The tool reads the public comments of the post you link, the same way anyone visiting the post can. Private accounts are not supported.
It depends on how many comments the post has. Reading them takes time: a few minutes for most posts, and noticeably longer for posts near the 1,000-comment limit. The loading screen shows how many comments are in so far, so you always know where you are. Keep the page open; if you leave, paste the same link again within ten minutes and the comments are reused instantly.
Yes. The tool reads up to 1,000 comments per post. If your post has more, the draw runs on the first 1,000 we load and the tool says so on the rules screen, with the number Instagram reports next to the number we could read.
We count distinct Instagram handles mentioned in each comment. Tagging yourself or the account that published the post does not count towards the minimum.
Every person with at least one eligible comment gets exactly one chance, no matter how many times they commented. Switch to "one entry per comment" if your rules promised extra chances for extra comments, and set a cap per person if you want to.
Yes. Tick "Record the reveal" before you pick and choose vertical (9:16, for Stories and Reels) or full screen (16:9). The video is made on your device while the reveal plays and is never uploaded. On a phone you get the share sheet, so it goes straight to your camera roll. This needs a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari; if your browser cannot do it, the tool says so before you draw.
Yes. You can draw again from the same comments with different rules, or replay the full-screen reveal of the current draw. Each draw gets its own record.
