Create an Invisible reCAPTCHA v2 key in Google's reCAPTCHA admin console and add every domain your giveaway runs on, including giveaway.ninja if you use a Direct URL. Paste the Site key and Secret key into Giveaway Ninja and switch on Enable Invisible reCaptcha. It blocks bots without adding friction for real entrants.

1) Create your reCAPTCHA keys in Google

Open the reCAPTCHA Admin / Google Cloud reCAPTCHA console and create a new key.
Type: choose reCAPTCHA v2 > Invisible reCAPTCHA badge. This is the version the "Enable Invisible reCaptcha" toggle in Giveaway Ninja supports.
Domains: add every domain where your giveaway or entry form can appear (for example, yourstore.myshopify.com and your custom storefront domain). If you use our Direct URL feature, also add giveaway.ninja to the list.
Save to get your Site key and Secret key.

2) Add the keys in Giveaway Ninja

Open the Campaign editor and click Edit Giveaway.
Go to GIVEAWAY and open the Bot Protection section.
Switch on Enable Invisible reCaptcha, then paste your Site key and Secret key.
Click SAVE.

Giveaway Ninja checks each entry with Google behind the scenes. Real entrants usually won't see a puzzle, while suspicious traffic may be challenged.

Please note: test the giveaway live before you publish it. If you can't enter, there's a problem with the keys. Check your browser's console log to see the exact error.

Why does reCAPTCHA stop people from entering my giveaway?

"Invalid domain for site key": the current page's domain isn't on your key's allow-list. Add it in Google's console and save.
"Invalid key type": the key isn't an Invisible reCAPTCHA v2 key (for example, it's a v3 key). Create a new key with the correct type.
Older keys: migrate the key to Google Cloud (no code change needed) so it runs on Google's current reCAPTCHA tiers.

Does reCAPTCHA cost anything?

The reCAPTCHA service is provided and billed by Google, not by Giveaway Ninja. Google offers it as Google Cloud tiers with a free allowance that covers most stores. Check Google Cloud's reCAPTCHA pricing for the current limits.
